Emu Oil from Walkabout

Emu oil is a natural, animal oil extracted from the fat reserves on the back of the emu, an indigenous bird species from Australia. Aboriginals have been using this oil for centuries due to its special properties. About 60 to 70% of the oil consists of unsaturated fatty acids, of which 20% are essential fatty acids such as omega-3 and 6. Additionally, the oil also contains omega-7 and 9 fatty acids. The oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, D, E, and K2 (MK4). Walkabout's Emu Oil is pure and concentrated, without additives.

Unique Properties of Emu Oil

Emu oil is known for its unique composition of healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants. The Aboriginals used this oil to treat skin conditions. Nowadays, the oil is widely used in beauty products and is known for its broad health benefits. The omega-3, 6, 7, and 9 fatty acids have a positive influence on cholesterol levels. The oil is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K2, which offer various health benefits such as skin care, immune system support, and cell protection.

Powerful Combination

Dropi's Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil combined with Walkabout's Emu Oil forms a perfect combination. The vitamin and fatty acid profiles complement each other well, resulting in a broad spectrum of nutrients. Both oils are pure and rich in natural vitamins A and D3 and various omega fatty acids.

The Healthy Ancestral Diet

Emu oil is a rich source of vitamin K2 (MK4), an important nutrient in our ancestors' diet. In the 1930s, nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston A. Price studied the dietary habits of traditional peoples and discovered the exceptional health of the indigenous population of Australia, who consumed the fat of marsupials and emus, among other things.

Care for the Emu

The emu, the largest native bird of Australia, is a flightless bird and can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h. They have a thick layer of fat on their back full of nutrients. Walkabout works with animal-friendly emu farms in Australia, where emus roam freely and are naturally kept without vaccinations, antibiotics, hormones, or pesticides. The traditional methods for refining emu oil have been passed down by Aboriginal elders, preserving the pure and natural composition of the oil.

Pure Nature

Walkabout's Emu Oil is of superior quality and comes from carefully raised emus with a pure genetic lineage. The oil is not processed or supplemented, making it a natural product free from hormones, allergens, or other chemicals. The attention to quality ensures high biological activity, comparable to the traditional oil of wild emus used by Aboriginals.
