Methylene blue, first synthesized in 1876, is a diamino phenothiazine with remarkable effects on electron transport within our body. This unique element has the ability to enter intracellular compartments including mitochondria, lysosomes and cell nuclei. In nanomolar concentrations, methylene blue manifests as a powerful antioxidant, significantly contributing to slowing down the skin aging process.
