- Citrus pectin
- Red Elm
- Zinc L-Carnosine
- Cat's Claw & Turmeric Extract
- N-acetyl-D-glucosamine
Nutrition for the Digestive System The gastrointestinal (GI) tract needs more than probiotics. That is why Optimal GI contains traditional herbs such as marshmallow root, licorice extract (DGL), milk thistle, cat's claw, aloe vera, turmeric and Red Elm. It also contains targeted nutrients such as N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and MSM. Both have an extensive and well-documented operation.
Carefully formulated Each dose of Optimal GI provides 500 mg of citrus pectin. This natural fiber provides bulk to support healthy bowel movements and promotes detoxification by binding to toxins. Because not everyone can tolerate the amino acid L-glutamine, it has deliberately not been added to this product.
The gastrointestinal tract The gastrointestinal tract is also called the "inner tube" of life. This tire is 9 meters long and has an area almost equal to a tennis court! This large surface area enables the GI tract's primary function: absorbing nutrients from food while at the same time keeping out unwanted substances. The lining of the gastrointestinal tract is very thin: only one cell layer thick. This allows the intestinal wall to function as a selective barrier allowing certain substances to enter the body (e.g. digested food particles) while excluding others (e.g. harmful bacteria).
