MitoQ Liver
MitoQ® Liver - Mitoquinol Mesylate
MitoQ® is an innovative Q10 supplement containing the patented Mitoquinol Mesylate. This compound was developed based on years of research and is a shortened, positively charged variant of coenzyme Q10. In this formula, Mitoquinol Mesylate is combined with choline, selenium and Siliphos®, a special milk thistle extract based on phospholipids.
What is Coenzyme Q10?
Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like substance that is found in all cells of the body. The "Q" stands for "ubiquitous", or "omnipresent", because Q10 is found in almost every tissue. It was discovered in 1957 by Dr. Frederick Crane in the mitochondria of a bovine heart. Organs with a high energy requirement, such as the heart and liver, contain relatively large amounts of Q10. In food, Q10 is found in organ meats, whole grains, nuts, spinach and fatty fish.

About Mitoquinol Mesylate
Mitoquinol Mesylate is a unique compound in which coenzyme Q10 is linked to a positively charged molecular group (tetraphenylphosphonium). This allows the substance to easily pass through cell membranes. This patented technology has been developed exclusively by MitoQ® and allows the ingredient to work closely with mitochondria in cells.
The evolution of mitochondria
Mitochondria are special parts of our cells that probably once lived as independent bacteria. In the course of evolution, they have been integrated into human cells and now play a key role in energy production and other cellular processes. They have two membranes, their own DNA and exhibit unique biological properties.
About MitoQ®
MitoQ® is a New Zealand company focused on the development of Mitoquinol Mesylate. Since its inception, MitoQ® has made extensive scientific efforts to investigate the properties of this compound. The MitoQ® team collaborates internationally with researchers, customers and professionals.
